This course combines science, psychology, social context, and body therapeutics designed to alleviate and prevent burnout, bolster immunity, strengthen our sense of embodied presence, foster emotional balance, and build community in today’s challenging, yet transformative world.

There’s a lot going on; and those of us in the well-being professions have been asked to hold a lot, both for others and in ourselves.
We’re entering our fourth pandemic year together, which continues to alter the nature and focus of our work, personal lives, and communities. All around us, social forces continue to accelerate. All this takes an energetic and emotional toll on us, even with devoted self-care.
Yet amidst all this, we find ourselves with unprecedented opportunities for change. How do we rise to the occasion, especially when we and those around us are contending with grief, loss, and stress? In this all-day workshop, we’ll convene in community to address these questions.
In this all-day experience, we’ll explore:
- new scientific findings on energy regulation and burnout
- compassion fatigue and how to combat it
- boundaries and embodiment
- our sense of agency: what it is and how to boost it
- fascia self-bodywork, embodiment, agency, and boundaries
You’ll receive:
- Access to download the workshop recordings for a period of 7 (seven) days so you can keep and review them forever
- A copy of the workshop PowerPoint
- A CE certificate for yoga teachers through Yoga Alliance
- Two bonus Body Love Fascia Play classes

We continue to witness assaults on bodily agency and autonomy. A growing lack of equality. Global hunger. War. Climate change. Political polarization and a rise in autocracy.
All this takes an energetic and emotional toll on us, even with devoted self-care.
Yet amidst all these factors, we find ourselves with unprecedented opportunities for change. How do we rise to the occasion, especially when we and those around us are contending with grief, loss, and stress? In this all-day workshop, we’ll convene in community to address these questions.
In this all-day experience, we’ll explore:
- our neuro-immune system: what it is and how to empower it
- body systems that impact energy regulation and burnout, including the immune system, nervous systems, & microbiomes
- new scientific findings on energy regulation and burnout
- the science of neuroplasticity, and how it can accommodate new patterns
- The evolving science of neuroplasticity (how the body, brain, and nervous system change in response to experience)
- fascia self-bodywork sequences, novel movement practices, and restorative practices geared to building and conserving energy
- the art of embodied boundaries
We’ll experience a full range of practical tools to build and conserve energy, develop burnout recovery and prevention skills, hone our attentional focus, nourish creativity, boost emotional and nervous system regulation, and show up authentically in todays intense, rapidly changing, and transformative world.
Throughout our time together, I’ll integrate cutting-edge research from science, psychology, and other fields of study with detailed instruction for practice, prescriptions for well-being, and implications for the urgent problem of human suffering.

- Discuss emerging research in affective neuroscience as it relates to depression.
- Discuss emerging research in multisensory awareness, including interoception, proprioception, body agency, and body ownership.
- Discuss body systems that affect mood, including fascia, the microbiome, and the immune system
- the scientific links between connective tissue and interoceptive awareness
- Discuss the implications of connective tissue inflammation for mood disorders such as depression and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Explain how to target connective tissue interventions to interoceptive (rather than solely proprioceptive) awareness
- Discuss the specific elements that make connective tissue interventions therapeutic
- Demonstrate a familiarity with how to language connective tissue interventions in a trauma-informed way
- Discuss methods to effectively sequence connective tissue self-massage into dynamic rest interludes, personal practice and yoga classes
