Ali’s journey with yoga began with an initial desire to reconnect to her body, her practice becoming a place of refuge and growth. Her interest in deepening her studies and connecting to the practice with others led her to become a 200 Hour RYT in therapeutic vinyasa and restorative yoga under the guidance of Bo Forbes, with whom she continues to study and assist workshops. She is also a certified Radiant Child yoga teacher. She is moved by the capacity of the breath and believes that through the cultivation of embodied awareness and self-compassion, we can connect to our own heartfelt language within.

A longtime yoga practitioner, Fiona Akhtar received her RYT-200 certification through Bo Forbes’ Elemental Yoga Teacher Training. She is constantly inspired by yoga’s power to create a challenging, therapeutic, and transformational space. Fiona has an MBA in Information Systems & Technology from Bentley University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Health Communication at Tufts University School of Medicine where she studies how to create effective health promotion and disease prevention programs. Focusing on marketing strategy and new product development, she is excited to blend her business background with her academic interests and her passion for teaching yoga.
Rochelle Bourgault is an editor, writer, and yoga teacher, and she is constantly awed by how well these vocations and avocations overlap and fuel each other. Rochelle has a B.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing from Dartmouth College and her 200-RYT yoga teaching certification from Open Hearts Yoga School. After years of exclusively practicing a vigorous, athletic ashtanga style of yoga, Rochelle found that the core elements of Bo’s teachings — mind-body integration, balancing breath and movement, and offering tools to discover the truths within your own practice — are universal and can enhance any style of yoga. Rochelle is eager to share lessons, research, and insights from the IYT world with our online community.
